For women with larger breasts, standard cup sizing can lack ample support and coverage and simply choosing a larger size isn’t always the answer.
True&Co is focused on comfort for all sizes which is why we spent 2 years gaining feedback from real women and expanding our offering. Many of our lineup is available in both standard and full cup options, the latter delivering the same snug band fit as the former but with a deeper cup made specifically for sizes DD+.
What is a Full Cup Bra?
Subtle differences differentiate our Full Cup vs Standard bras. Take our True Body Lift Mesh Scoop Bra for example: while the deep V neck and wider shoulder straps make the front of both bras look nearly identical, extra material on the sides and back of the Full Cup version ensure adequate support while maintaining the breathable function of the style.
How does this differ from sizing as you know it?
While band size may vary greatly, Full Cup bras are based on breast tissue mass. Per the example above, though two very similar bras, the extra room and coverage of the Full Cup style maximizes comfort for those with a larger bust.
How does this differ from plus sizes?
Many plus size bra offerings feel as though they have more material but aren’t designed to support additional breast tissue. This can cause issues such as uniboob and/or sagging. True&Co’s full cup styles are designed to counter this issue delivering support and smoothing while maintaining chest definition.
What bra sizes are considered Full Cup?
Your measurement size doesn’t change in our Full Cup styles, it simply corresponds to our standard measurement chart, below. Currently available in band sizes ranging from 30 to 44, cup sizes DD/E and DDD/F are considered full cup.
Full Cup = Added Comfort
A deeper cup not only provides a better fit for large breasted women but increases comfort through coverage and support. Additional coverage means no spillage or side boob and supportive lift helps to alleviate discomforts such as back pain. Overall, a full cup style can help ensure you aren’t making adjustments to your bra all day, nor racing to take it off as soon as you get home.
How do I know if a Full Cup Bra is right for me?
If you’ve struggled to find a bra that embraces your shape, shows off your curves AND provides ample support and coverage, a Full Cup style is definitely worth a try.
