Bralette Outfits

Cozy and comfortable, sexy and stylish, or all of the above, bralettes are everywhere these days, and entire outfits based on showing them are equally as common on the festival circuit as they are on the high fashion runway.  Unsure which look is right for your comfort level?  Whether you’re ready to make it the centerpiece of your style or just let a little peek through, we’ve got tips on how to make a bralette outfit work for you.

Basics to Bralette Outfits

While the look is relatively new, it’s foundations aren’t all that unfamiliar.  Take the 90’s slip dress over a t-shirt look, or the colored bra under a white button down, both iconic fashion combinations, made even easier by the bralette due to its unstructured, wirefree and often lacy design.  The bralette lends itself to become the foundation of an outfit, based on its material, detail, design or even as a color cue.

Outfits with Bralette Styles

Materials like lace and mesh can lean your look towards sexy or sporty, while construction such as a strappy crisscross or racerback design can further both the look and comfort factor.

Lace Bralette Outfits

Signature for the style, lace is the go-to material for a bralette, and our Soft Lace Wirefree Bralette is a go-to choice for an updated take on that night to day classic, the shirt topper.  Go casual over a simple crewneck tee or dress it up with a button down.  Not ready to put your bralette front and center quite yet?  Try a deep v neck shirt or sweater that exposes lace at either the neck or decolletage (or both).

Racerback Bralette Outfits

For a great entry point into the category, take the focus off the front and look for a bralette style like the True Body Lace Racerback Bra. Worn with an open back shirt or dress, a racerback adds an intentional design detail making the look truly your own.

Mesh Bralette Outfits

Our mesh detail is both function and form, providing subtle style alongside cooling comfort in both standard and full cup designs.  The True Body Lift Mesh Triangle features a dipped neckline and adjustable straps to achieve your preferred look and lift.  We love this one with a loose top, especially one with low cut sides like a rocker tank.

Outfits with Bralette Colors

Find a bralette you love but unsure which color(s) you’ll wear most?  Coordinated monochromatic white or black can be anything but neutral while contrasting colors or bold patterns can be played down for just a pop of interest.

White Bralette Outfits

Classic yet contemporary, you can never go wrong with white.  Casually chic, a white bralette is right at home under a sheer or lace top.  Paired with denim bottoms and statement jewelry, this look goes from day to night in simple sophistication.

Black Bralette Outfits

Basic black is anything but when worn alone. Featuring a plunging neckline, the True Body Triangle Convertible Strap Bra is a wardrobe essential, perfectly paired with a tailored jacket or pantsuit.  Like the work wear look but not ready to bare it all?  Try a black bralette with a white button down for a classic contrast.

Red Bralette Outfits

Ready for red bras? How about Striking Red, a beautifully bold shade especially in our True Body Collection. Made from a smooth, buttery fabric (our softest material) in a heavier weight for increased support, these bras are a staple of your outfit options.  The red bralettes can be a perfect match for a maxi skirt.
