Blame it on Netflix, but sticking to a proper bedtime feels harder than ever these days. And once you actually hit the sheets it’s a whole other battle to fall asleep soundly. Despite the struggle, sleep is an undeniably key ingredient to your overall health and since the average adult needs 7-9 hours of Zzz’s, figuring out a way to get a good night’s rest should be a priority. Here are a few easy tips:
1.Stick to a sleep schedule of the same bedtime and wake up time - even on weekends. This routine will help train your body and you’ll be more likely to stay asleep all night.
2.Create a relaxing ritual before tucking in - whether it’s a soothing cup of tea, soft music or a few minutes of meditation. Skip the TV and cell phone for at least 30 minutes prior to getting into bed, they make it harder to get to fall asleep and often prevent deep sleep.
3.Get comfortable. A good mattress and pillow, comfortable sheets and a cool room temperature all help. Same goes for comfortable underwear. Our True Body hipsters or thongs have a buttery-soft feel and no seams or elastic meaning all night comfort.
